Live dashboard
Start from the live baseline with roll-up cost, headcount, FTE, velocity, and health checks across the tenant.
Model your organisation's structure, people, AI agents, and their allocations. Scenario workflows let you plan changes safely. Visual planning surfaces help you understand what you have and what you're proposing. AI helps you reason about it all.

Begin with a clean baseline
Demo data can be purged later from Settings to return to a clean baseline. An onboarding checklist tracks remaining setup steps.
The demo tenant shows how Orgonaut moves from source data to scenario modelling and final review. These are live product screens from the seeded demo workspace.
Source of truth
Start from the live baseline with roll-up cost, headcount, FTE, velocity, and health checks across the tenant.
Data intake
Upload BambooHR exports or Orgonaut CSV files, validate the format, and choose whether the import updates live data or a scenario.
Change review
Inspect metrics deltas, changed records, allocations, and modelling events before applying a scenario to the live baseline.
The Live View is the canonical real-time state of your organisation. It shows aggregate metrics for headcount, FTE, monthly cost, and velocity across the entire org tree. From here, navigate to people, teams, departments, positions, the matrix, or the org chart. Everything starts from Live.
A precise set of modelling primitives that represent your operating structure. People, agents, and robots are all first-class actors.
Every contributor is an Actor. Model human employees, contractors, AI agents, and automated processes side by side. Each carries identity, cost, capacity, and FTE metadata that flows into every planning view.
Build any structure. Teams are classified by type (squad, chapter, tribe) and hold velocity stats and agent budgets. Departments group teams with their own type taxonomy (business unit, division). Nest them as deep as you need.
Placements link actors to teams with allocation percentages, effective dates, and primary/secondary status. Effective FTE is calculated automatically. Allocation health flags when someone exceeds 100%.
Positions define planned roles with target salary, FTE, and employment type. They carry the budget; actors carry the actuals. Track vacant positions for hiring plans and model future headcount in scenarios.
Track actual salary history with effective-dated slices. Scenario-specific slices model proposed pay changes without touching baseline data. Multi-currency support with automatic cost roll-ups across the org tree.
Headcount, filled FTE, planned FTE, monthly cost, and sprint velocity automatically roll up through the org tree. Metrics are recalculated on every change and computed independently per scenario.
People, teams, departments, and individual actors are not disconnected tables. Each view carries the allocation, cost, hierarchy, and scenario context needed to make decisions.
Filter humans, agents, and robots with live placement, team, department, and allocation context.
Each team page shows primary and secondary placements, allocation percentages, FTE, velocity, and monthly cost roll-ups.
Department views keep hierarchy, teams, sub-departments, and roll-up metrics aligned with the same org-unit model.
Actor profiles combine identity, compensation, placements, positions, and team membership in one scenario-aware record.
Structural operations let you reorganise the org tree directly. Move teams to new parents, merge two teams into one, split a team in two, or restore deleted units. All operations respect scenario context and emit full audit trails.
Create isolated branches of your organisation to explore what-if changes. Compare, review, and promote approved outcomes to your Live baseline.
Create scenarios from your Live baseline or from another scenario. Cloning runs as a background job that replicates all entities and remaps every relationship. Progress is tracked in real time.
Every change inside a scenario is scoped to that scenario. Your Live baseline remains protected. Create, edit, and delete actors, teams, positions, and placements without risk.
Side-by-side diff showing every change between a scenario and its source. Entity-level hashing surfaces changes across people, teams, departments, positions, allocations, and compensation.
Apply approved scenario changes to your Live baseline. The system takes an automatic snapshot before applying, and the promoted scenario becomes an immutable record in your lineage.
Read-only baseline snapshots preserve your organisational state at key moments. Full lineage tracking connects promoted scenarios into a traceable chain, showing how your organisation evolved over time.
Baseline archives, applied scenarios, and locked scenarios are fully read-only. All mutation controls are hidden, and policies enforce immutability at the data layer.
The delta view computes the exact differences between a scenario and its source. Entity hashes identify every change. A metrics panel shows source vs. scenario totals for headcount, FTE, monthly cost, and velocity.
Changes are grouped into families: people, teams, departments, positions, allocations, and compensation. A change log shows modelling events grouped by entity type and minute.
From the delta view, confirm and promote approved changes directly to your Live baseline.
Multiple views of the same underlying model. Each surface is designed for a different planning task, and all support interactive editing.
A D3-powered org chart that renders the full organisational hierarchy. Departments, teams, and actors in a tree layout with pan and zoom. In planner mode, drag and drop to restructure directly on the chart.
Supports move, merge, split, and restore operations. Read-only in snapshots and archived scenarios.
An infinite D3 canvas that groups teams by type (columns) and actors by role type (rows). Toggle between view and edit modes. In planner mode, drag actors across teams, drag teams between columns, and use context menus for allocation changes.
Shift-select multiple actors for bulk moves. Unassigned drop bin for quick removal.
Both the Matrix and Charts views share a common Org Planner engine. Drag-and-drop interactions generate structural commands that accumulate in a shared change tray. Review, undo, redo, validate, and apply as a transactional batch.
Astro is a conversational AI assistant that can read across your entire organisational model, answer questions about structure and cost, and take governed actions on your behalf.
When Astro proposes a write action, it generates a structured proposal that you review and confirm before anything executes. Failed proposals roll back automatically.
Bring data in from your HRIS, import from CSV, and access everything programmatically through the API, CLI, and MCP.
Import organisational data from BambooHR exports or Orgonaut canonical format. Auto-detection, identity matching, and quarantine handling for duplicates and invalid data.
Connect to BambooHR for automated data synchronisation. Sync logs, webhook support, and field mapping. Additional HRIS providers on the roadmap.
Full CRUD API with Sanctum authentication, tenant scoping, and ability-based authorisation. Resources for actors, teams, departments, positions, placements, compensations, scenarios, and aggregates.
Expose your org data to external AI clients like ChatGPT, Claude, and others through the Model Context Protocol. OAuth-secured and fully tenant-scoped.
TypeScript command-line tool for reading and writing org data. Authenticate via browser-based OAuth, then manage actors, teams, scenarios, and reports from your terminal.
Create, rotate, and revoke personal access tokens with configurable abilities for API and CLI access. Tenant-scoped with optional expiration.
Teams, scenarios, integrations, and documentation all use the same tenant-scoped model, so planning work stays connected to the data that created it.
Scan team type, ownership, cost, FTE, velocity, and member counts before drilling into a team.
A planning scenario keeps its own context banner, status, notes, totals, and navigation back to live or delta views.
Connect BambooHR, test credentials, choose apply targets, and inspect sync diagnostics from the settings workflow.
Organisation design touches sensitive data. Orgonaut is built with governance at the foundation, not bolted on afterward.
Every operation emits an immutable audit event. The Activity Statement Engine converts events into human-readable narratives with icons, tones, and structured diffs across your full modelling history.
Every organisation account is fully isolated with row-level multi-tenancy, subdomain resolution, guarded bindings, and context-bleed protection across the UI, API, and automation surfaces.
